# During signup, why do you ask for my personal email address when my organization is a subscriber?

We do this for a couple of reasons.

#NotMe is a people's platform. It is your tool and you, as the reporter, own your account. Your organization does not own your #NotMe app.

If you leave your current organization and need to report for a new subscribing customer or as an individual, you won't miss out on updates to a non-active email.

Truly Anonymous Reporting - This is one more level to protect your anonymity by not having any updates provided through your organization email system. All of your chat and status updates will be sent to this email.

After you've created your account, then you will link your organization to your account to create and send your reports to your organization.
